Y - MISA (MASS) DEL ENCUENTRO
In 1919, Pedro Figari was attracted by a ceremony in the town of Pando, near Montevideo. It consisted of two processions carrying each an image of Virgin Mary, meeting (thus “encuentro”), and then celebrating a mass. He painted about 20pictures on the subject.
